 | ANA Worlds Fair of Money Show July - 2005 San Francisco, CA Rare Coin Wholesalers and Steve Contursi were very proud to sponsor the Exhibit Area at the American Numismatic Association's World's Fair of Money, July, 2005. This event was held in San Francisco at the Moscone Center. During the show, RCW displayed the Unique 1787 Brasher Doubloon with EB on Breast, the first gold coin minted for the United States, and the Contursi 1794 Dollar, the first silver dollar struck. We also met then ew Treasurer of the United States, Anna Escobeda Cabral. |

New York Invitational Coin Show June - 2005 New York, NY There was a news media "sneak preview" of the Brasher Doubloon exhibit at the New York show where members of the New York news media took photos as Steven L. Contursi, President of Rare Coin Wholesalers answer questions about the return to New York of the fabled 1787 Brasher Doubloon. WCBS-TV New York reporter Morry Alter interviewed Steve Contursi about the return of the legendary Brasher Doubloon to New York City for the first time in more than a century.Dr. Ute Wartenberg-Kagan Executive Director of the American Numismatic Society in New York City, got the rare oportunity to hold the unique 1787 Brasher Doubloon. |  |

ANA Worlds Fair of Money August - 2004 Denver, CO During this event, Rare Coin Wholesalers and Steve Contursi were proud to display the First Silver Dollar Struck, the Contursi 1794 Dollar. Twice during the show, Steve and PCGS took the coin out of its' holder for further examination by experts. We were also happy to host Martin Logies, as he personally autographed and released the limited first edition of his new book - The Flowing Hair Dollar of 1794. There was a lot of international press at the show, and the Associated Press featured Steve in an article about the show. A Numismatic Roundtable discussion on the Contursi 1794 Dolllar was held at the show. Here are a few of our pictures from the show. |  |
